It may not have the international appeal of the Amalfi coast or Portugal’s stunning beaches but we think that Yorkshire has some of the most stunning scenery that could compete with the world’s best wedding venue spots. In fact, we would say the vast array of stately homes, luscious fields, iconic scenery and Bronte re-tellings of this great county make it one of the most sought after locations for a wedding venue in the country, if not Europe!

If ever there were a home to conjour all that is, Downton Abbey, this would be up there (with some of the other noted inclusions.) Set in 300 acres of Yorkshire’s stunning countryside, Oulton Hall is a smorgasbord of all that is classy environments mixed with the scenery that makes the most ardent lover of a selfie happy with the backdrop.
